State auditor: Joseph Maestas

Engineer Joseph Maestas is running for state auditor. He has never been an auditor, but neither has his opponent. He served admirably as a Santa Fe city councilor and as mayor of Española. He is a current member of New Mexico’s Public Regulation Commission, overseeing utilities and internet infrastructure. The Taos News endorses Maestas.
